How I Love London – Van Gogh’s London Years

Vincent van Gogh lived in London from May of 1873 to 1875.  These were some of the best times of his life and made a significant impact on his art.  You can read more about Vincent van Gogh in London on our blog.  However, if you’re in the London, England area there is a talk coming up that you won’t want to miss.

On September 12, 2013 from 7:00-8:30pm, the Dutch Centre in London, England will present a talk titled “How I love London” focusing on Van Gogh’s time in Victorian London.  Where he spent his time, where he lived, where you can walk in his footsteps and how his time in London impacted his art will all be touched on in this English presentation.

The talk is based on Kristine Groenhart’s book, How I love London – a travel guide for Vincent Van Gogh’s London.  The book which is published in Dutch and officially titled, Hoe ik van London Houd- wandelen door het Londen van Vincent van Gogh, was first released on June 18, 2013 and expects to have an English edition published eventually.
