A hidden portrait of a woman painted by Van Gogh was found underneath Van Gogh’s Patch of Grass. The painting Patch of Grass from the Kröller-Müller Museum in Otterlo, The Netherlands was examined through the use of a new type of x-ray technology by a team of researchers from Delft University of Technology in The Netherlands and the University of Antwerp in Belgium. Van Gogh, like many artists, often reused his canvases, so the potential for using this technology to uncover more works of art is great.
