Lost Van Gogh Notebook Awarded to Greek Woman

January 2nd, 2008

According to an article appearing at EarthTimes.org, a Greek woman was awarded a sketchbook that was believed to belong to Van Gogh.  The notebook has been sitting in an Athens bank vault since World War II, when it was seized in a raid of a Nazi supply train.  The woman is the daughter of one of the resistance fighters who found the notebook.  The notebook is yet to be authenticated, but it  could sell for as much as $5 million at auction.
